I was so sorry to hear of Marie's passing. Years ago we worked together in the NYS Education. We had many, many lunches and laughs. We continued to communicate when she moved to Connecticut and caught up with each other when she returned to the Delmar/Slingerlands area. Her dear friend Alba Giordano kept me up-to-date on her health. Marie was such a kind, generous, fun-loving lady. May she now Rest-in-Peace.
I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother,
and found comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 -
"The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away
the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4 we find
God's promise to remove both pain and death. For more comfort,
I turn to the website at: www.jw.org (Search: Comfort)
Applebee Funeral Home has been serving Delmar and its surrounding communities since 1904. This stately brick building is a defining point of Delmar's Four Corners. However, it was in Clarksville where the family's first funeral home was located at the Clark House, a Greek revival style home built by Adam Clark in the mid 1820's.
