Obituary of Jane M. Jackson

DELMAR – Jane Massie Jackson died January 28, 2018 at the age of 92. Jane was born in Mt. Kisco, NY in Westchester County on May 6, 1926. She graduated from Coxsackie High School in 1943 and Albany Business College in 1944. Jane, an executive secretary, retired from the NYS Office of General Services in 1983. She was the daughter of the late William and Frances (Lory) Massie. Her husband, Walter (Jack) Jackson predeceased her in 2015. They were married for 68 years, living most of that time in Ravena, NY. Upon retirement, they moved to Hyannisport, Mass and lived for many happy years by the ocean. Beside her family, gardening and the ocean were her passions. Jane is survived by her three daughters, Cathy (Charles) Sutton of Delmar, Joanne (Richard) Crosier of Delmar and Jill (John) Fuhrman of St. Augustine, FL; nine grandchildren, Ian (Christina) Wallace, Adam (Amy) Sutton, Bryan (Lisa) Sutton, Greg Sutton, Amanda (Chris) Crosier Riffle, Jenna Crosier, Tyler ( Kelly) Crosier, Tanner Crosier and Emma Crosier.; and six great grandchildren, Nicholas and Dylan Sutton, Allie Wallace, Lila Crosier Riffle, Mason Crosier and Austin Sutton. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday at the funeral home.
