Mary June Carey passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at The Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.
June was born on July 29th 1929, the daughter of the late John and Pearl (Savoy) Mellett. She was raised in the Inwood section of Manhattan and attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School and Cathedral High School.

Mill and June were married for 61 years. She loved nothing more than summers with her family at the Jersey shore.
Through her working years she served as an executive assistant to the president at Mini-Grip in Orangeburg and to the Chief Medical Officer at St. Dominic's Home in Blauvelt. After retirement, they moved to Toms River, NJ, and later to the Albany area to be close to family.

Applebee Funeral Home has been serving Delmar and its surrounding communities since 1904. This stately brick building is a defining point of Delmar's Four Corners. However, it was in Clarksville where the family's first funeral home was located at the Clark House, a Greek revival style home built by Adam Clark in the mid 1820's.
