Obituary of Clara V. Martin

DELMAR: Clara V. Martin, 93, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Stephonia (Foote) Montysko. Mrs. Martin worked for the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles and retired from the NYS Division of Criminal Justice in Albany. A long time Bethlehem resident, Clara loved to work in her wonderful flower garden. She loved her cats and enjoyed sewing and made many of her own clothes. Clara is survived by her daughter, Karen Martin of Delmar and her sister-in-law, Helen Montysko. She is also survived by a niece, Carol and nephews Joseph, John, Michael, Edward and Robert. Friends and relatives may call at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Avenue on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 10 AM to noon when a funeral service will be held. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Mohawk and Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
