Obituary of Rita Gagner

DELMAR - Rita M. Gagner, 89, entered eternal life on Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Albany County Nursing Home. Born in Barrowsville, MA on September 17, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Romeo Octave and Catherine Elizabeth (Murphy) Gagner. Rita had worked for the A. & P. Tea Co. in Springfield, MA, retiring in the 1980's. She had also worked at St. Thomas School and for Elder Services in Cape Cod when she resided there. Survivors include her siblings, Anastasia Theresa Gagner, Dorothea A. Gagner and Edward A. Gagner and wife Carol; and a niece, Therese K. Gagner. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:00 am Monday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Delmar. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Taunton.
