Obituary of Anne Maguire MacIntosh
Anne Maguire MacIntosh of Altamont, NY passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023 at the age of 91.
She was the first of five children born to the late James Maguire and Mary Lavine Maguire of Albany, NY. As a child, Anne enjoyed summers visiting relatives on Lake Champlain where she learned to swim, fish, catch frogs and experience the outdoors. She also had fun at Washington and Lincoln Parks where there were large swings, swimming pools, and ice skating in winter. She remained a Notre Dame fan throughout her life. After graduation from Albany High School Anne went to work for the New York Telephone Company and married the love of her life, Earl A. MacIntosh. Together they raised a family and operated a successful choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Anne enjoyed flower gardening and was a former member of the Guilderland Garden Club. She helped nurture many children as an assistant teacher at Small Steps Nursery School. She was also an active member of Christ Lutheran Church where she enjoyed the fellowship of friends and the services they provided together.
Anne is predeceased by her husband of 63 years and her grandson Earl III. She is survived by her loving children Karen Frering (Mark), Earl Jr. (Mary), Allyn, and Lori Burleigh (Jeff); her grandchildren Gregory, Victoria, Jeffery and Amanda; three siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
