John W. Bossung Sr.
I was lucky to have John as my Godfather, so I can say that there have been a lifetime of wonderful memories of John and his family.
The fond memories occurred in Mt. Vernon with Aunt Mabel and Uncle John, in Broad Channel with Aunt Hattie and Uncle Will, in Scarsdale around his and Claire’s table, in Fresh Meadow with my parents, Marge and Bill, at my home and finally at the family reunions at Belmont State Park.
I will never forget the music, fun, games, good times, and John and his smile.
I promise to continue to update the Bossung/Sakmann family tree.
Finally to all of the Bossung family, our deepest love and sympathies.
There was no one like John, and his kind will never pass our way again.
Love Joan and Paul Aprigliano
We feel as though we know this amazing beacon of love and life during our 50+ years of friendship with his beloved and devoted sister, Claire. What a huge loss and hole in everyone’s heart.
Rest in Pace, John
