Obituary of Frederick J. Ringler

Frederick J. Ringler, 79, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023.

 

Born in Albany on June 10, 1943, he was the son of the late Frederick J. and Kathryn E. (McArdle) Ringler.  A longtime Delmar resident, he worked for the Town of Bethlehem Highway Dept. for over 30 years.

 

He was the proudest Papa of Andersen and Paxton Breen, who brought him such joy in his life.  He will be forever missed by the love of his life, Ellen Mahoney, with whom he loved to travel, dine out and take long drives; and Ellen’s daughter, Amanda Mahoney (Michael Breen).  He was the big brother of Jim (Linda) and Joe (Mary Ann) Ringler.  uncle of Kelly Whitbeck (Steve), Thomas Ringler (Kristen), Heather Nelson (Cooper) and Joseph Ringler; and great uncle of Megan and Ryan Whitbeck.  He is also survived by a daughter, Crystal Brinkman.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 12 to 1 p.m. at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar.  A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friday Knights, attn: Susan DeLuke, The College of St. Rose, 432 Western Ave., Albany, NY  12203.  Please make checks payable to The College of St. Rose and include Friday Knights in the memo.
