Obituary of Ida G. Tassarotti

DELMAR - Ida G. Tassarotti, born in New York City, eldest daughter of the late Pietro & Ida M. Tassarotti, passed away on June 17, 2011, due to complications from Multiple Sclerosis, which she had been battling for most of her life. She was in a peaceful and loving environment, surrounded by her family at the time of her passing. A devoted and loving family woman, she basked in the glory brought from her six nephews. Ida was not only an avid New York Mets and Jets sports fan, but also a zealous lover of life. Ida is survived by her sister, Isabel Leone (Edmund) of Teaneck, NJ, brothers Anthony Tassarotti (Gail) of Albany and Armand Tassarotti (Mary) of Rock Hill, SC and six nephews; James Leone, Michael Leone, Peter Tassarotti, Christopher Tassarotti, Joseph Tassarotti, and Anthony Tassarotti. A private service will be held for the family. A public life celebration service will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Ida's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 421 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, 2 Mercycare La., Guilderland, NY 12084, where she received cared for over ten years.
