Obituary of William M. Bullard

William “Bill” Bullard, died peacefully on February 26th, 2021 with loved ones by his side. Bill was born in Patchogue, NY, the son of late Vincent Bullard and Virginia Benson. He was the beloved brother of the late Donna Denison. He was a graduate of SUNY Brockport and dedicated his life work to public health and emergency management, which allowed him to touch the lives of countless individuals. Bill will be remembered by his family as a gentle, yet passionate person whose generosity and love for life knew no bounds. His enthusiasm was contagious and he brought life to all around him and will continue to do so. He was a dedicated father and partner, who made every moment, big or small, an adventure. He was an outdoors and baseball enthusiast, and some of his greatest shared memories are found on the water, mountain tops and at Yankee Stadium. His most cherished memories were spending time with his four daughters. Bill is survived by his partner, Sherrie Strain, and their daughter Blake, his daughters Emily, Grace, Caroline and their mother Julie Bullard. He is also survived by his niece Melissa Fernandez (Justine) and countless other family members and friends who love him deeply. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 4 from 11 am to 1 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar. Face coverings will be required and social distancing and occupancy limits will be observed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s name to the PitCCh In Foundation (pitcch.org).
