Obituary of Kenneth Hansen

Kenneth Hansen, passed away on January 9, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Born May 26, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Albert and Alfhild Hansen, Ken met his wife, Nina, in 1952 and they married in Norway 66 years ago. They settled in Staten Island, where they raised their daughters. After retirement they moved to Glenmont to be near their family.. A very close-knit family, they moved into a house on the same street as their daughters and also summered with all of the family in Schroon Lake. In addition to spending time with his family, Ken had a passion for gardening, boating, woodworking and traveling. He and Nina traveled all over the world. Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Nina; his daughters Audrey (Carl) Halvorsen and Mona (Bill) Larsen; his grandchildren Ken (Liz) Halvorsen, Christy (Ryan) Venter, Andrea (Steven) Sanchez and Tom Larsen as well as eight great-grandchildren, Jackson, Ella, Brodie, Grace, Thora, Natalie, Cassidy and Mackenzie, and his brother, Bob Hansen. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Those wishing to remember him in a special way may make a contribution to the Delmar Reformed Church or the American Cancer Society.
