Eleanor (Fall) Haverly, 86, of Delmar, died December 28, 2020. Eleanor was born in Albany, NY, on September 10, 1934, daughter of the late Charles Fall and Madge (Lee) Fall Emigh and step-daughter of the late Roland Emigh. Eleanor earned her Associate Degree in music from Ithaca College and fostered her love of music and singing throughout her life. As a member of First United Methodist Church of Delmar she was section leader in the choir and soprano soloist for over 30 years. Eleanor also performed regularly with the Friendship Singers for many years, as well as being a member of the Delmar Progress Club. She greatly enjoyed spending time with family at every opportunity. Summers and weekends spent at 'camp' on Cossayuna Lake was a favorite, as Eleanor loved to be in the water. She lived a rich and full life with many friends and her dear family. She was a gracious host during dinner parties with the Gourmet and Bridge Clubs which life-long friends attended. Travel was an adventure Eleanor loved and shared with her late husband. Together they flew or cruised to so many lovely destinations all over the world. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Richard Burke Haverly, Sr, and is survived by her three sons, Rick (Karen) of Morris, CT, Bill (Lisa) of Kansas City, MO, and Tim of Delmar, NY; grandchildren, Tim M. Haverly, Christine (Jared) Baumgart, Drew (Lauren) Haverly and Sam Haverly; and great-grandchildren, Madeline, Spencer, and Livia Baumgart and Camden Haverly. She is survived by her brother, George (Audrey) Fall of Temecula, CA, and several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was buried at Saratoga National Cemetery. Due to Covid restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to First United Methodist Church of Delmar Music Program 428 Kenwood Ave. Delmar or to the Friendship Singers c/o Margot Phillips, 13 Laurendale St., Albany NY 12205.
