Obituary of Marie Swiatowicz

EAST GREENBUSH: Marie B. Swiatowicz, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16 at Evergreen Commons and returned to her husband Charles' arms. Born in Shamokin, PA, the daughter of Mary Ann and Thaddeus Barkiewicz, she spent most of her life in Stamford, CT, before moving to the Capital District. Along with her husband, Marie was predeceased by her daughters Susan and Barbara. Her survivors include her son Ted of Delmar and his three children Andrew, Matthew, and Allison. Other survivors include three additional grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle in Delmar on Friday, January 20 at 10am. There will be no calling hours. She will be interred at Fairlawn Memorial Park in Stamford, CT, next to her husband.
