Obituary of Rose Quinn

Rose Ann Donnelly Quinn, 86, formerly of Delmar, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, NY. Born March 21, 1927 in Fintona, Ireland, she emigrated to NY in 1950 and met the love of her life in the Irish Alps of East Durham, NY. Rose and Michael Quinn were married 50 years this past February. Rose is survived by her devoted husband, Mike; her children Michael (Mel), Steven (Judy), Karen (John) Sorady, Brian (Karen), Kevin (Meryl) and Maureen (Michael) Sovern; 13 grandchildren (Quinn, Erin, Allyson, Collin, Gavin, Will, Danny, Emily, Brady, Christopher, Elizabeth, Kerin and Lauren); her sister Tess (Sonny) Donnelly; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary Donnelly, her brother Pat Donnelly, and her sisters Mary Beattie, Bridget Burke and Margaret Curtis. The family wishes to thank the nurses and shabazz at Eddy Village Green for the loving care they gave to Rose in her final days. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 2 to 5pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 19, 2013, at 9:30 in the Church of St. Thomas, 35 Adams PL. Delmar.
