Vittorio William Mascaro

2021 — September 17, 2022

Vittorio William Mascaro, 18 months, of Rensselaerville, NY, experienced a sudden epileptic death and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 16, 2022.

He was born to parents Brian and Cassondra Mascaro on February 24, 2021 and his life was a true gift from God.

From the moment he arrived, Vito, as he was known, had the happiest disposition and the best personality. He was immediately loved by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. His laugh was the best sound in the entire world, he always had a twinkle in his eye, and his smile lit up the room. Vito never had a bad day and he lived surrounded by constant love and care and was the most loving boy in return. It is a comfort to know he will live on in the hearts of so many.

Vito was curious, adventurous, and always on the move keeping up with his big brother, Luciano. He loved “talking” on the phone, the remote, Baby Shark, donuts, driving his Cozy Coupe, “motorcycle”, ATV, and tractor, and being taken for rides in the racecar by his brother. He loved to snuggle with his mom and dad and go on family adventures.

Beyond anything else, Vito loved being with his family. He leaves behind his parents, Brian and Cassondra; big brother, best friend, and other half of the Boomy Boys, Luciano; soon to be little brother; Grandma and Papa, with whom he spent countless hours and loved deeply, Jackie Federici-Mascaro and Bill Kipp; Grandpa Tom (Thomas Mascaro Jr.); Gran (Alysa Goddard) and Grampy (Bill Goddard Jr.); Great Grandparents, Bonna and Wayne Kirkpatrick and Josephine Mascaro; Godmother, Auntie Momo, with whom he shared an especially close relationship, Morgaine Pfister; Godfather, Uncle Patrick Kipp; Uncle Billy, Auntie Meghan, and cousin Jackson Kipp; Auntie Katrina, Uncle Dan, and cousins Brady and Parker Mayo; and Uncle William P. Goddard. He is also survived by his many beloved Great Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, and friends of the family. He was predeceased by his Great Grandparents, William and Donna Goddard, Gaetano and Gertrude Federici, Thomas Mascaro Sr. and Catherine Molinari; as well as his Great Aunt and Uncle, Jane and Bobby Gonzales; Uncle Andy Braverman; cousin Michael Federici; and his dad’s best friends, Johnny Cooper and Chris Rueda.

Vito also leaves behind his friends and teachers at the Albany JCC, where he was a “Little Dino”. He loved his teachers, Liz, Rae, Abida, Ester, Charis, and Michelle, as well as Nikki, Chris, and the rest of the staff. The family would like to express our gratitude for the love and care given to Vito during his time with them.

The family would like to express their thanks to the Albany Police Department, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, especially Paramedic Bonnie Jean Johnson, and the many, many others who have provided so much support during this time.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm, Monday, September 26, 2022 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 16 Elsmere Ave. Delmar. The family will receive visitors at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave. Delmar on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
