Virginia Labriola

DELMAR- Virginia Elizabeth Labriola, 97, of Delmar, NY, formerly of Nanuet, NY, passed away on August 2, 2013 after a brief illness. Her passing was brief and peaceful and occurred while she was surrounded by loved ones. Despite her age, Virginia continued to live life on her own terms, in her own home, with the people and the things she loved, until just days before she passed. Her remarkable sense of humor, generosity of spirit, love, and courage were in profound evidence only hours before her great heart finally stopped beating. She will be sorely missed by all of us who came to know and cherish her. Virginia is survived by her sons Daniel and Donald, daughter-in-law Linda, son-in-law Raymond Keough, and beloved eight-year-old grandson David. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave. Delmar, Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 4-7pm. Virginia's family asks that, in lieu of flowers, friends and family consider contributing "in memory of Virginia Labriola" to the St. Pius X Catholic Grade School, 75 Upper Loudon Road, Loudonville, NY 12211.
