Thomas E. Wohlscheid

Thomas Edward Wohlscheid, 79, of Delmar, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2022.

Born on March 18, 1943 in Middletown, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Katherine B. (Monahan) Wohlscheid and brother of the late David Wohlscheid.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary C. (Borgia) Wohlscheid.

Tom was a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he received a master’s degree in civil engineering.  For 55 years, he worked as an engineer for the NYS Dept. of Transportation until his retirement.  He was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed playing at Pinehaven Country Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, Sept. 6 from 5 to 7 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar.  A service will follow the visitation at 7 pm in the funeral home.  Interment will be held 11:30am, Wednesday, Sept. 7 in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY  12204.
