Thomas Joseph LaJeunesse

DELMAR, NY

– Thomas J. LaJeunesse, 62, passed away surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, April 8, 2018.  He was born June 1, 1955, and was the son of the late Eugene and Marie (Smith) LaJeunesse of Schenectady, NY.  He is survived by his wife, Lynne (Quickenton); daughters, Diana LaJeunesse, Mercy (Robert) Morris, and Maria LaJeunesse; son, Nathan LaJeunesse; grandchildren, Angelina and Antonio Morris; brothers, Gene (Anna) LaJeunesse, Jim (Jerrie) LaJeunesse, John (Lynda) LaJeunesse, and George (Cathy) LaJeunesse; and sister, Irene (Dennis, deceased) Ruddy.

Tom’s professional career included working for Farm Family Insurance Company, Schenectady Trust, and as an IT consultant with Software Technology Resources. Tom and his business partner, Art Dougall, ran their own consulting company, Systems Software Alternatives; he was the manager of Fleet Boston’s Infrastructure Communication Department, at the end of his business career.

Tom was an avid car enthusiast who also enjoyed fishing, camping, and laughing. He was a devoted husband, father, PeePaw, brother, son and friend to all. Tom was a man of deep faith and his greatest pleasure was his love of family. He will be greatly missed.

Calling hours will be at Applebee Funeral Home,  403 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar on Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 4 to 7pm.  Funeral services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054, on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 10:30am. Memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 421 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
