DELMAR - Terrence Michael O'Hare, 71, emerged victorious against a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, claiming his place in God's Kingdom on October 23, 2014 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
He was the son of the late Robert and Marion O'Hare, and brother of the late Mary Diane O'Hare.
Terry is survived by his wife Marcy; sons Robert and Shawn (Damjana); daughter Meghan (Keith) Grant; brother Robert (Sherrill); grandsons Brandon and Justin Grant; Samuel, Jack, and Alexander O'Hare; mother-in-law Kay Hendrick; brothers-in-law Ross (Denise) and Clay; special nephews Austin and Brandon Hendrick, and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Terry graduated from Shaker High School, and earned degrees from the University of Bridgeport and SUNY-Albany. Terry began his career with various New York State agencies before retiring from the New York State Dormitory Authority and his most cherished job, driving a school bus for Bethlehem Central.
Terry was a longtime faithful member of the Delmar Reformed Church, where he was a Consistory member, Financial Secretary, Sunday School teacher, and babysitter for M.O.P.S.
A memorial service celebrating Terry's life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Delmar Reformed Church, 386 Delaware Ave., Delmar.
