DELMAR- Ruth E. (Baker) Pascalides, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2014, at her home after a short illness. Ruth's only priority was her family, she was a wonderful wife and mother. She had such a bright, loving spirit. Promise to take her out to lunch or to get ice cream and she would follow you anywhere. Ruth had a delightful sense of humor. Her usual greeting was "Do you have a kiss for me?" She loved being with people.
Ruth and Frank would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 2015. They acted like newlyweds till the day Frank died in 2009. One of her daughter's favorite memories was Ruth tap dancing around the kitchen while Frank chased her trying to steal a kiss. She would giggle and say "now Frank stop it". They just wanted to be together.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Frank and her two sons Theodore and Speros. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Ann and many treasured nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
A celebration of Ruth's life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 (Ruth's 88th birthday) at 1pm in the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 11 to 1pm.
