Ruth Cozzy

DELMAR – Ruth Cozzy, 83, of Delmar, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 with her family at her side. Born in Clay, Texas on September 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Oliver P. and Mabel (Coleman) Pennington. She was also predeceased by her husband, John J. Cozzy, Jr.; daughters, Joan Carey and Mary Dove; daughter-in-law, Catherine Cozzy; and two grandsons. Survivors include her children, Nancy Cross, Janet Napier (Robert), Jacqueline Agnew (Blaise), John Cozzy, III (Joan) and James Cozzy (Pam); fifteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 5 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral mass will be celebrated 9:00am Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. Burial will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
