DELMAR - Roy J. Pannucci, 57, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at home in Delmar. N.Y. Born on July 5, 1955, in Geneva, N.Y., Roy was the son of the late Vincent James Pannucci and Bernice Hogan Pannucci. Roy grew up in Seneca Falls, N.Y. and graduated from Mynderse Academy in 1973. He received his bachelor's degree from SUNY-Plattsburg in 1977, where he met his beloved wife Lynnette (Werger) Pannucci. They married on October 7, 1978. They lived in East Greenbush, N.Y. for seven years before moving to their home in Delmar, N.Y. Roy worked in the Albany, N.Y. area in the field of computer sales and services. He retired two years ago after a long career with Hewlett Packard. Along with his wife Lynnette, Roy is survived by his children Nathan Pannucci of Guilderland, Kira Pannucci of Delmar, and Noah Pannucci of Delmar; brother Ronald H. Pannucci of Muskegon, MI, sister Cynthia J. Pannucci of Sarasota, FL., and Tina Pannucci Fleming of Rochester, N.Y; uncle John P. Pannucci and his wife Diane (Stachelhous) Pannucci of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large, caring group of friends. Roy will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his honesty, and his love for his family and friends. All were made welcome at his home and no one ever left hungry. He was an excellent storyteller, history and sports enthusiast, and staunch supporter of the Boston Red Sox. Roy coached for the Tri-Village Little League, Bethlehem Basketball Club, and Bethlehem Lady Eagles basketball team. He never missed one of his children's sporting events. His favorite times were those spent with his family and friends. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at New York Oncology Hematology, especially to Drs. Harry Dunn and Alan Rauch; to the staff at Capital District Renal Physicians, especially Dr. James Horn; the staff at Albany Regional Kidney Center; and Dr. Louis Papandrea of the Capital Cardiology Associates. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 30 at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar, N.Y. 12054, from 4 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 31 at the Fellowship Hall of the Delmar Reformed Church, 386 Delaware Ave. Delmar, N.Y. 12054 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roy's memory may be made to the Amyloid Treatment and Research Program at Boston University School of Medicine (http://www.bu.edu/amyloid/donate/).
