SLINGERLANDS - Robert Milliard Hoffman died peacefully of natural causes on September 21, 2015 in Los Angeles, California at the age of 27. Robert is survived by his parents, Jerry and Barbara Hoffman; his two siblings, Jesse Hoffman and Julia (Greg) Camarco; his nephew, Brady Camarco; his grandmother, June Carey; his youngest cousin, Erica Carey, with whom he had a very special relationship; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Robert was born on May 24, 1988 in Albany, New York. He graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in 2006 and from Dartmouth College in 2010 where he received a degree in political science and a minor in creative writing.
Upon graduation, Robert pursued his dream career in the film and television industry, most recently as a part of the production team at Scott Rudin Productions in New York, New York and at Good Universe in Beverly Hills, California. His family, friends and colleagues remember him as a hard working, highly intelligent and creative individual who was destined for success.
Robert had an unmatched enthusiasm for life. He was always willing to give to others as a loyal friend, a loving son, brother and uncle, and as a helper of those in need. He will be remembered as an avid tennis player and spectator, a movie and television connoisseur, a protector of tradition, and especially for his many contributions to the Dartmouth community and his love for his Adirondack Camp family. Robert was truly one-of-a-kind in a way that cannot be reflected on paper. He left a lasting impression on all those lucky enough to have known him, and he will live on forever in our hearts and minds.
