Richard A. Whitbeck

1939 — April 17, 2024

Largo, FL

Richard Whitbeck went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2024.  He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family.  He is survived by his sister, Margery Hoffman, and his   children Richard Whitbeck and his wife Susan, Joanne Costain and her husband Scott, and Tim Whitbeck and his wife Shannon and his 12 grandchildren.

He left a legacy of love with so many people and will be deeply missed.  Our great joy is that he is with the Lord and enjoying eternity with his Savior and meeting up with his wife, Judy, as well as family and friends who arrived before him.

Richard was born in Albany, NY and lived in Delmar and Feura Bush for most of his life.  In retirement he moved to Largo, FL.  When asked if would consider moving back north he simply said ‘No’.

His life will be celebrated with family and friends at 11:00am on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave. Delmar.  The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 before the service.

Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar.
