SCHENECTADY - Peter Collins,63, died suddenly Thursday evening. Born in Skipton, England, he was the son of Alan Collins and the late Marcia Collins. He traveled widely, living in Ghana, Australia, The Solomon Islands, Bolivia and South Africa which gave him his abiding love of Geography. He lived in the US since the 1980's and settled in the Albany area making many friends through his work with computers and his love of music. He was an accomplished singer and guitar player and loved to entertain people. Special thanks to Dave Morrison and Michael Brougham for bringing him into the fold of Bethlehem Community Church where he found his spiritual home. Thanks also to Dave Brushy, Pete's friend for all his kindness, and much appreciation to his friends and colleagues at the Bureau of Information Technology at the State Offices in Albany.
He will be greatly missed by his father, Alan Collins, his sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Mike Chrysler and by his many friends in Albany, North Carolina and England. A Memorial Service to celebrate Pete's life will be held at Bethlehem Community Church, 201 Elm Ave., Delmar on Tuesday December 17th at 11:00 am.
