DELMAR – Paul G. Bartholomew died at home on Saturday, April 7, 2018 with his daughters, Paula and Beth and his partner, Denise, by his side. He was the son of the late Francis and Shirley Bartholomew. Paul was a motorcycle enthusiast and has been a member of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America since 1986. Paul was a jack of all trades and especially enjoyed tinkering with motors. He also enjoyed watching any kind of racing, growing garlic and vegetables, camping, fishing and hunting. Paul is survived by his partner of 32 years, Denise MacDonald and his daughters Paula Bartholomew Newell (Mike Neenan) and Beth Coviello. Paul was Poppy to grandchildren Andrea Smith (Jason Majewski), Megan Newell (Fred Martin), Mikey Neenan and Kayla Neenan (Larry Rondeau) and to great granddaughters Madison Hunter, Margaret Donato and Maisabelle Martin. He is also survived by his sisters, Sharon (Gus) Baglione and Meg (Jimmy) Calhoun; dear niece, Courtney Rickert (Margui Lemmerman); nieces Brooke Baglione and Tara (Ed) Wait and nephew Jamie Calhoun; Goddaughter, Sheila (Mike) Jones; and his canine companion, Ziggy. Paul was predeceased by his sons, Paul, Joseph, David and infant son, Michael Bartholomew and his sister, Jody Rickert (late Boopsie). Calling hours will be 4 to 7 pm Friday, April 13th at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 14th at 11 am at Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
