Patricia Y. Burnett

Patricia Yvonne Burnett, 91, entered eternal life on Friday, August 16, 2024.

She was born to Leonard and Gladys (Tuttle) Shultes on May 8, 1933 in Albany, NY and grew up on the family farm in Delmar with her five siblings. Patricia was a long time member of the Unionville Reformed Church. On October 1974, she married John "Jack" Burnett in Afton, NY where they lived and owned an antique store. They enjoyed traveling and antiquing together. She loved her family and taught them all what it means to have courage and faith. She was known for sharing handmade gifts for all occasions and loved helping others. Her lifelong hobbies included sewing, quilting, and knitting. She will be deeply missed.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband Jack, daughters Sandra (Eck) Vincent and Vivian (Eck) Amsler, and grandson Kenneth VanDyke Jr., parents Leonard and Gladys, siblings James Shultes, Norma Beach (Richard Beach), and Richard Shultes.

She is survived by her children she shared with Harold Eck: Lois VanDyke and Sharon Matott (Dale), nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, siblings Robert Shultes (Janet) and Barbara Thomas-Stillman (David); sisters-in-law Patricia Shultes, and Carol Shultes, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her husband Jack's children, John, Wayne, Kathy and Caroline, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Unionville Reformed Church, 1134 Delaware Turnpike, Delmar, NY from 10 to 11 am. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 am at the Church. Interment will follow at Onesquethaw Cemetery, Clarksville, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia's memory may be made to the Community Hospice in Albany, NY. www.communityhospice.org.
