Michael Howard Dawn

DELMAR – Michael Howard Dawn, 58, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness. Michael was born in Mineola, NY on December 4, 1956, the son of Howard and Rosemary Dawn. Raised in Westbury and Levittown, Long Island, he resided in the San Francisco Bay Area and Pittsfield, MA before moving to Delmar. He studied mechanics while in school and had worked repairing cars and motorcycles. He was an avid fan of all types of motor racing. While in Delmar he enjoyed helping friends with small engine and computer repairs. Michael will be remembered as a thoughtful and caring neighbor. He is survived by his longtime partner Anne L. Crawford of Delmar; sisters Patricia Dawn and Donna (Edward) Storbeck; nephews Jeremy Phillips and Eric Storbeck of Streamwood, IL; niece, Casey Storbeck of North Adams, MA; 4 great nieces/nephew; and best friend, Tom Spath of Delmar. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 6:00 pm at the Delmar Presbyterian Church, 585 Delaware Ave., Delmar.
