Mary C. Mahony

DAVENPORT, FL – Mary C. Mahony, 108, died Friday, May 30, 2014 in Davenport. Born is Gainesville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (Goetten) Calmes, and wife of the late Peter H. Mahony. Mrs. Mahony was a graduate of Geneseo and the NY State College for Teachers. She resided in Delmar and was a teacher for many years in the Bethlehem Central School District. Mrs. Mahony was a member of the University Club of Albany, Delmar Chapter of AARP, American Assoc. of University Women and the NYS Teachers Retirement System. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Mann of Davenport, FL; and her granddaughter Laura S. Ferry. In addition to her husband Mrs. Mahony was predeceased by all of her siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 11:00 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Delmar. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
