Mary Grell

DELMAR - Mary V. Grell, 92, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Syracuse on August 22, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Northrup) Morgan. Mary honorably served her country in the Army Air Corps during WW II and did civil service work at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn. One of Mary's favorite enjoyments was singing with the Veterans Choir at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center. Survivors include sons, Henry (Marilyn) of NYC and David of Delmar; daughter Carolyn (Andy) of Colorado; grandsons Christopher (Tara) and Stephen (Maureen) and great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Michael, Erin and James, all of New Jersey. Mary was predeceased by a son, Arnold. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, October 21st at 11 am at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home.
