Marilyn Schwager

COLONIE - Marilyn Ruth (Kriedemann) Schwager, passed away January 8, 2011. She was born August 15, 1935 in North Tonawanda, NY, attended college at the New York State College for Teachers, and resided in Colonie. Lyn was a softball coach and Girl Scout leader. After raising her children, she taught History and Spanish at Our Savior's, Blessed Sacrament, and St. Thomas. She was a loving and generous mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Beth (Rick) Kebea, Susan Schwager (fiancée Kevin Cella), Diane Schwager, Deborah (Ross) Pusatere, Pam Schwager, and Marc Schwager; grandchildren Brett (Patty), Lorri, and Jonathan Kebea, Alex Schwager, and Lily Schwager-Southard; siblings Arletta Brazell, Karen Maier, and the late Dale Kriedemann, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Ave., Delmar at 10 am. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
