DELMAR –Marie E. Privler, 89, of Delmar passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
Born in Albany on May 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Carl W. and Marie (Stecher) Erdmann, wife of the late Walter S. Wright, Jr. and Max Privler and sister of the late Pauline Ouderkirk and Elsie Shoup. Marie had worked as a bookkeeper for over 30 years for various local oil companies retiring in 1992 from Buhrmaster Oil. She had been a member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, VFW Post #3185, M.O.C.A. and the Delmar Fire Auxiliary. She was also a past president of the Bethlehem Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her children, Beverly Wright Krugman; Wayne Wright (Terry); and Sheree Wright; grandchildren, Michelle Krugman (Colin Decker), Paul Krugman, Brian Wright (Bethany), Stephanie Wright, Gregory Pittz, Kevin Pittz (Juli Kallenburg), Joseph Marro, II (Courtney) and Jennifer Lieber (Dan); cousins in Germany; and several nieces and nephews. The family is very thankful for the loving care Marie received at the St. Peter's Hospice Inn and Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 17th from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, October 18th at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
