Marie Jeannette "Jan" Lewis

Marie Jeannette “Jan” Lewis, born on March 4, 1945, in Albany, NY, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern NY.
 
Jan was a beloved mother to the late Paul Lewis and survived by her sons Daniel Lewis and Jeffrey Lewis. She was the cherished daughter of the late Kenneth C. Wells and Shirley (Wedge) Wells. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her brothers Kenneth, Mark and David Wells, and her sister Gail (Wells) Wilkinson.  Her brother Brian Wells predeceased her.
 
Jan's legacy lives on through her grandchildren Sarah Schauerhamer, Brendan Lewis, Jeffrey Lewis, Curtis Lewis, Justin Lewis, Debrianna Lewis, Joshua Lewis, and Dillan Lewis; and her great-grandchildren Rozlyn and William Schauerhamer.

Jan worked in the family swimming pool business as an office manager over the years.  Her hobbies included painting and drawing.  She also donated time dressing up in costume for the holidays and visiting school and church, something she really loved doing.
 
A graveside service to honor the beautiful life of Jan will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery in Glenmont, NY.
 
Jan's kind spirit and unwavering love for her family will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing she was deeply cherished and will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
