Marie A. Grassucci

SLINGERLANDS – Marie A. (Genovesi) Grassucci, 89, lifelong Slingerlands resident, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born in Slingerlands on June 21, 1927, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Venera (Livoti) Genovesi. She was also the wife of the late Mario Grassucci and sister of the late Anthony J. Genovesi and Agnes A. Cicero. She is survived by her children, Carlo Grassucci (Joan) of Gibsonia, PA, Robert Grassucci (Suzanne) of Slingerlands and Ann Marie O'Grady (Christopher) of Delmar; brother, Joseph V. Genevosi (the late Patricia) of Slingerlands; grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Grassucci and Abigail, Laura and Evan O'Grady; and several in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 27th from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 28th at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Those who wish may send a remembrance in her name to St. Thomas the Apostle Church Memorial Fund.
