GLENMONT: Linda McGlynn (7/31/1952) left this world suddenly yet peacefully in her sleep on August 5
th
, just days after her 69
th
birthday. Linda lived her life for others and radiated joy. She spent her free time traveling the world with friends or with her children Kerry Hasselbach (Joshua), Kelly Ferjentsik (Erik) and Shay McGlynn. She was known as ‘Mima’ to her precious grandchildren Christopher and Liam Hasselbach and Lennox and Violet Ferjentsik. Linda raised her children telling them they could do anything they put their minds to in this world and showed unconditional love and support.
Born in East Greenbush, she was the daughter of and is survived by Ronald and Loraine Greenough, siblings Ronald Greenough (Pam), Timothy Greenough (Susan), Michael Greenough, and Gail Tremblay (Aaron), as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be forever missed by her long-term partner, Henry Taylor, who says she was the best person he knew.
Dr. Linda McGlynn, as she was known by her clients, spent her life helping others as a therapist to many in the Capital Region. Linda changed lives, and she left a lasting impact on anyone who knew her.
Linda was a lover of travel, food, wine, and the arts. She loved experiencing life and had just booked future trips to trek gorillas in Rwanda and to see the tulips in the Netherlands. She was planning a 70
th
birthday trip to Italy with her 3 children next year, where they will now plan to scatter her ashes in remembrance.
In lieu of traditional services, there will be a celebration of life for close family and friends hosted by her children at June Farms (275 Parker Road W. Sand Lake, NY 12196) on Tuesday, August 10
th
, from 1pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the World Wildlife Federation.
When you think of Linda, celebrate the good memories, live life to the fullest, and share joy and love as you go.
