Born in Clarksville, N.Y., he attended Bethlehem Central Schools. He is the cherished son of Ruth (Domermuth) McMillen and the late Earl McMillen; the loving spouse of Sandra (VanAlstyne), devoted father of Chanel (Adam Mineau) and Ryan; beloved brother of Earl (Sheila), Roger (Nancy), Barbara, Eileen (Jim), Patti (Gary), Mark, Gail (Larry), and the late Dean McMillen; brother in-law of Gary (Patti), Larry (Gail), Peggy (John), Richard (Susan), Gene (Jill), Rose and Dean (Patty), son in-law of Sandy VanAlstyne, Gene (Rose) VanAlstyne; and the loving uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Kevin was the proud business owner of Mac-Son Industrial Services, Inc. Kevin spent many years employed in the Oil and Gas industry and was known for his knowledge, skills and expertise working within this field. Kevin always felt his employees played a key role in the success of his business and was very fortunate to have such loyal employees working for him. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan that struggled with the number of losses in the prior seasons, he took humor in the constant reminders of how well his team was doing. As a former race horse owner he enjoyed the many weekend trips up to Saratoga with family cheering his horses on. Kevin looked forward to golf outings with his family, still laughing and talking about it hours after the game ended. Kevin’s family and close friends meant the world to him, holiday gatherings, cook-outs and trips to the beach in Maine, always put a smile on his face.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, May 3rd, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar.
Thank you to all the 2nd floor ICU staff at St. Peters Hospital for all the amazing care they provided to Kevin and the kindness extended to his family.
