Juliette Salisbury

CLARKSVILLE - Salisbury, Juliette (Julie) , age 87, of Clarksville, NY, passed away on November 5, 2015 at home in Clarksville with her family at her side. Juliette was born in Albany, NY to Ralph and Rose Marie (Beaulac) Turmel on February 17, 1928. She went to Greenville High School. She was a housewife and raised 8 children with her late husband Oakley Salisbury Jr. She enjoyed family gatherings, dancing, singing, going to the casino and playing card games , the Jumble, seek and find word puzzles and Scrabble. She was a member of the Onesquethaw Women's Auxiliary and the Clarksville Community Church. Julie is survived by her children, Rose (Karl) Pritchard,Karen (Rusty) Riley, Elaine (Charlie) Biers, Oakley Salisbury III, Earl Salisbury, Terri Henry, Brenda Salisbury (Mike VanDyke), Kathy (John) Scarcella Grandchildren, Julie (Michael) Gandolfo, Charlie Biers, Kayla, Connor, Miranda and Erica Salisbury, Ryan and Jarett Scarcella. Great Grandchildren Aurora and Ava Gandolfo, Sisters – Jeannette (Ken) Kelafant, Rosemarie (Babe) Tomaszewski, William Turmel and Lawrence (Phyllis) Turmel, Brother-in-law – Leland Salisbury , and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Oakley Salisbury, Jr. siblings: Rita (Warren) Filkins, Edward Turmel, Evelyn (James) Bader, Alice (Bud) Geel, Theresa Salisbury, Lorraine (Raymond) Quick, Ralph Turmel, Delores (Art) Pawlus, The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Albany Regional Kidney staff Karen, Brandi, Mia, John and Atiba and the many patients she became friends with. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar, NY A funeral service will be held at Clarksville Community Church, 1997 Delaware Turnpike, Clarksville, NY 12041 on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 11:00 am.
