Joyce Demoly

Joyce Ann Demoly (née Bliven) died in Albany, New York on July 29 at the age of 83. She was born in Albany, New York on June 13, 1941 to Ruth and Floyd Bliven.

Joyce married William Demoly and moved to Beauvais, France in 1966 where she raised her two sons.  When they moved to Delmar, New York in 1987, she dedicated her career to the insurance industry, working as a broker until her retirement in 2007.

She was an active member of her community, serving as the President of the Delmar Progress Club from 2016 to 2018, and was an ardent reader and gardener. Joyce was a long-standing member of the Delmar Reformed Church, reflecting her commitment to her faith and community.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, William, her two sons, Marc Demoly (Nick Wilson), Thierry Demoly (Blanche Vellano), and her grandson, Alexandre Demoly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, John and Wayne Bliven.

A memorial service will be held at the Delmar Reformed Church, 386 Delaware Ave. Delmar  on August 9, 2024, at 11 AM, to honor her life and legacy. Joyce's life was marked by her dedication to her family, her career, and her community, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
