Joseph H. Shaw

ALBANY – Joseph H. Shaw, 65, died Friday, February 13, 2015, at Kingston Hospital. Born in Albany and raised in Slingerlands he was the son of the late Joseph and Marion Gallup Shaw. Joseph was a US Army veteran having served with the 82nd Airborne from 1967-1970. He retired after 30 years as a Lineman / Repairman with the New York Telephone Company in Albany. Joseph was a member of the American Legion Joseph E. Zaloga Post #1520 in Albany for many years. He was an avid NY Yankees Fan. Joseph is survived by his daughters, Jessica Shaw of East Greenbush and Briana Shaw of Colonie; his siblings, William Roney, Elizabeth Winne, Patricia (Richard) Shaw Adams and Jim (Juile) Shaw; his grandchildren Madison and Haley Arsenault. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and his canine companions Bruno and Mickey. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, February 17, 2015, from 4 to 7pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave. Delmar. Private interment will be held in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation in Joseph's name may be made to the Center for Disabilities Services, Adult Day Program, 314 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208
