Joseph A. Miller

DELMAR - Joseph A. Miller, 82 of Delmar, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, April 27, 2017. Born September 22, 1934 in Albany, he was the son of the late William A. and Florence (Stonski) Miller. He worked as an operator with the Operating Engineers Local 106 for over 40 years. Between washing his truck and vacuuming, he liked to check that the doors were locked, the lights were off and his knick knacks were present and accounted for. We will all miss him and his OCD habits. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Beverly (Murley) Miller; loving sons, William Miller and Joseph Miller (Debbie); grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason, and Jordan (Jamin); and great grandson, Jake; sister, Joan Radley (the late Charles "Bucky" Radley); sisters-in-law, the late Ruth (Dick Miller) and Carol (Larry Cartwright); brother-in-law, James (Debra) Murle;y and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday, May 1st at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 12 to 1 pm on Monday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
