John J. Zboray

1953 — September 10, 2016

DELMAR – John J. Zboray, Jr., 63, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late John J. and Ada (Schick) Zboray, Sr. He graduated from the Bethlehem Central Schools and attended HVCC. John was a 45 year member of the Elsmere Fire Company, and was currently serving as the First Assistant Chief. He was a member and past Commander of the sons of the American Legion, Post 318 and a member and past commodore of the Ravena Coeymans Yacht Club. John worked for over 40 years in construction. John is survived by Arlene Rickard; his daughters April (Joe) Fraley and Tricia Zboray; his grandchildren Colin and Madison and sisters Judy (Joe) Leichenauer and Betty (Steve) Armitage. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the DELMAR REFORMED CHURCH, Fellowship Hall (please enter building through double doors in rear of building) 386 Delaware Avenue, Delmar on Thursday, September 15, from 4 to 7pm. Funeral services will be held at the church on Friday at 10am. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar.
