John J. Palange, 60, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
John was larger than life, the most interesting man in the room, and a best friend to all who knew him. He loved his wife and children with all of his big heart, made his sister laugh at life’s absurdities, and his nephews can fondly recite endless “John anecdotes”. Zata’s family enjoyed many wonderful times with him during the countless gatherings. John cared about the world and what was happening in it. He was infinitely curious, incredibly intelligent and the one to go to if there was a problem. He was our Rock. He was never afraid of the truth and never hesitated to speak it. A natural comic, he always had us in stitches. His legacy will be eternal.
John now is joined by his parents Ingrid and Roland Palange. He is survived by his wife Margazata Bryl “Zata” Palange; his son, Darius; his daughter Izabella; his sister, Claudia Callander and nephews, Logan and Tucker Callander. Also his sisters-in-law, Ania and Dorota; brother in law, Henryk; mother in law, Stanisawa and nieces and nephews, Michelle, Kasia, Claudia, Martin and Conrad
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 6 from 4 to 7 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, March 7 at Historic St. Mary’s Church on Capitol Hill, corner of Lodge and Pine Sts., Albany. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar.
