John David Moser

John David Moser, 83, of Delmar, NY passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. 

John is survived by his wife, Lynda Spielman, daughters Holly Congiusta (Frank) of Latham and Katherine Hughes (John) of Hyde Park, and grandchildren Elizabeth Grace, Francesco and Robert Congiusta as well as brother William (Ellen) of Goodyear, AZ and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Irene Stuart of Henryville, IN.

John was born on November 9,1940 in the Bronx, NY and was the son of Lawrence and Irene Moser. After graduating from Pratt Institute, he made a career as an architect. On October 6, 1990 John married Lynda at the North Presbyterian Church in Flushing, NY. In July 2014, John and Lynda moved to Delmar. 

Throughout his life, John was an avid supporter of Preservation Organizations. He enjoyed going on cruises. In recent years, he also enjoyed doing his daily crossword and various puzzle games. He was a member of the Delmar Presbyterian Church and Treasurer of the Bethlehem Art Association. John loved spending time with his family and friends. Nothing made him prouder than being able to watch his grandchildren grow up. He was the best Poppy ever and will be missed dearly by many. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23 at 1:00 pm at the Delmar Presbyterian Church, 585 Delaware Ave., Delmar. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Operation Walk Virginia at www.opwalkvirginia.org or mailed to Operation Walk VA, PO Box 343 Oakton, VA 22124. Operation Walk is an organization that John has supported for years through his son-in-law, Dr. Frank Congiusta and his mission work.
