Joanne M. Tschinkel

DELMAR - Joanne (Joan) M. Tschinkel, 83, of Delmar, NY, peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, February 15, 2016 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, James P. Tschinkel, her six children and their spouses, Carol (Joe) Henry, Arlene (Bill) Pericak, David (Marybeth) Tschinkel, Diana (Michael) Swanson, Gerard (Jill) Tschinkel, Kristin (Michael) Olson, fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar, NY. The Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Place, Delmar, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joanne's name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society-Eastern Division or St Thomas the Apostle School in Delmar.
