Jeannette Constantino

DELMAR - Jeannette M. Constantino, 89, passed away on June 10, 2013. Born in Conshockhen, Pa., Jeannette was the daughter of the late Anna Evans Brodell and Charles Edward Brodell. She was a resident of Delmar for 55 years. Jeannette worked as a waitress at the Waldorf in Albany where she met her husband of 37 years, the late Joseph A. Constantino. She also worked for several years in the Bethlehem Middle School Cafeteria. She was a member of St. Thomas Church and the Bethlehem Senior Citizens. Jeannette has been a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was small and feisty and had tremendous energy; those close to her nick-named her "the energizer bunny". She loved and is loved and will be forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew her. Jeannette was the mother of the late Christopher A. Constantino and she is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Linda A. Constantino Smith & Timothy J. Smith, Carol E. Constantino Cook and the late Michael N. Cook, Agnes M. Constantino and Eileen C. Constantino Watson and Troy E. Watson; her grandsons, the late Timothy Jarod "T.J." Smith and surviving grandsons, Aaron C. Smith and wife Melissa Scheid Smith, Charles A. Constantino; and great grandchildren, Emerson Grace and Timothy Lincoln Smith. Jeannette is survived by her brother, Francis Evans Brodell and wife Ann. She was pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters Charles Brodell and wife Violet, Edward Brodell and wife Grace, Joseph Brodell, and David Brodell and wife Helen, Mary Brodell Kunziar and Betty Brodell Natz. She is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 4 to 7 pm at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 am in the Chapel at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers donations in Jeannette's name may be made to the TJ Smith Memorial Fund at 26 Vagele Lane, Glenmont, NY 12077 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
