DELMAR- Jeanne Fausel Randles passed away peacefully on April 13, 2015 at the age of 84 in St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany on March 23, 1931, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen Fausel. She was a 1948 graduate of the Milne School in Albany and a 1950 graduate of Larson Junior College, where she majored in Liberal Arts and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Jeanne met the love of her life, Bob Randles, in seventh grade at Milne when he would sit behind her in Math class and make her laugh with his corny jokes. They dated through most of high school and all of college, marrying the week after Bob graduated from college. They were happily married 54 years until he passed away in 2006.
Jeanne resided the majority of her adult life in Slingerlands. She was an active volunteer at Child's Hospital, where she managed the gift shop; the Albany Institute of History and Art, where she worked in the Sales and Rental Gallery; and St. Peter's Hospital, where she was a liaison between the hospital and families of patients. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family at their summer house on Lake George. She was an avid reader and a diehard fan of the New York Yankees!
Jeanne is survived by her five children: Robert, Jr. (Donna) of Plymouth, MA ; Karen (Thomas) Kerbs of Sacramento, CA; Nancy (Richard) Kelly of Bethel, CT; Mark (Dana) of Waccabuc, NY; and Jeffrey (Nancy) of Voorheesville as well as thirteen grandchildren and one great -grandchild.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, April 18 at 4:00PM at the First United Methodist Church, 425 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Peter's Hospital Foundation, 315 South Manning Boulevard, Suite 114, Albany, NY 12208 or the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, 6 Tower Place, Albany, NY 12203.
