Henry Hon Bo Chan

SLINGERLANDS - Henry Chan, 101, of Slingerlands, died Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Teresian House Center for the Elderly in Albany, NY surrounded by his family. Born in China on September 27, 1916, he moved from Shanghai to Hong Kong in 1949 and from Hong Kong to the Capital District in 1967. In 1985, he and his wife relocated to California, where they resided until returning to this area in 2006. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Petchin Chan and is survived by his beloved children, Steven Chan and wife Berna of Slingerlands, Bonnie Lee and husband Danny of Guilderland, Thomas Chan and wife Letitia, May Chan and husband Dick Chan, Patrick Chan and wife May, Shirley Chan and husband Richard Friedman, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Michael Chan and wife Lynn of Menlo Park, Calif; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 5th from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar.
