Heather Ann Lupini, 46, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Dana Farber in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Joan Horan and the late Paul Whitbeck.
Heather graduated in 1993 from and Bethlehem Central High School and earned a degree in accounting from SUNY Brockport in 1997. Heather settled in Syracuse, where she had a long and fulfilling career at Anthem as Senior Accountant
Heather was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed cheering on the Syracuse Orange, New York Mets and Buffalo Bills. She also loved spending time with family at Skaneateles Lake.
By far, Heather’s most beloved experience was as mother to her children Anthony and Julia. The time she spent with them were her most cherished moments. Whether cheering them on at sporting events or plays, supporting them in their academics or just cuddling on the couch, Heather’s children were her whole world and her most proud accomplishment.
Heather is survived by her two loving children, Anthony and Julia and her former spouse and close confidant, Robert Lupini of Syracuse. Heather was predeceased by her father Paul Whitbeck and her loving uncle Ralph Graziano. She is survived by her parents Joan and Patrick Horan; her sister, Catherine Schuler (Wayne) and beloved nephews Mason and Carter; her caring aunt Jill Graziano and cousin Susannah Graziano. Heather is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws as well as some wonderful lifelong friends.
Calling hours will be Sunday, December 5, at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar from 3 -6 pm. Funeral services with be on Monday, December 6, at 10:30 am at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville. A memorial service for Heather will be held at a later date in Syracuse. Those wishing may donate to a fund for the benefit of her children, c/o Applebee Funeral Home.
