Harry M. Rarick, Jr.

DELMAR - Harry M. Rarick, "Bud" as known to his family and friends, passed away unexpectedly at Albany Medical Center with his sister by his side on Friday, March 31, 2017. Bud was born September 19, 1933 in Albany to Harry and Grace who both died before him. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, worked for Paddock Pools and retired from the Atlantic Cement Co. in Ravena. He was a very hard worker. Bud enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, playing horseshoes, playing softball, loved the NY Giants, NY Mets and NASCAR. You would also find Bud cutting and selling firewood for fun money, so he and his wife Shirley could winter in Florida. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley; son, Martin; and brothers, Roy and Larry. He is survived by his son, Kevin; grandson, Seth; sisters, June (Joe) Curran and Diane (John) Saddlemire; brothers, Roger (Rose) and Tim (Sandy); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. We would like to thank the caring staff at Albany Medical Center Emergency Room, especially Dr. Leroy, Nurse Linda, Social Worker Christen and Chaplain Roger Behrens. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 6th from 4 to 6 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 6 pm.
