Gina Ricci

DELMAR - Gina Ricci, 86, died November 28, 2013 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Gina was born in Caserta, Italy in 1927 and married Guy Ricci, Sr. in 1945 in Caserta. She immigrated to the US in May 1946, and lived in Mamaroneck NY until 1984, when she and her husband relocated to Delmar. Gina is survived by her husband and four of her children. They are Diana (Robert) Lenzi of Bridgeport CT, Guy Jr. (Stephanie) Ricci of Delmar, Marianne (Vincent) Adamo of Monroe, CT, and Rita Ricci of Colonie. Gina also has eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Gina was predeceased by her daughter, Laura Ricci of Stamford, CT. Gina attended school in Italy, where she met Guy during World War II. She was a member of St. Thomas Parish in Delmar. Gina was happiest when spending time with her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed cooking for her family. Calling hours will be private at the family's request with a funeral mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. Gina's husband and children extend their deep thanks to the staff at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the care and attention they've provided to Gina for the last several years, as well as the staff of The Community Hospice for their support.
